Testing task: Navigate to the first radio button

With JAWS in PC cursor active mode, describe how JAWS behaves when performing task "With focus on the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Regular crust' radio button."

Test instructions

  1. Restore default settings for JAWS. For help, read Configuring Screen Readers for Testing.
  2. Activate the "Open test page" button below, which opens the example to test in a new window and runs a script that sets focus on the third radio button.
  3. Press Alt+Delete to determine which cursor is active. If the virtual cursor is active, press Insert+z to disable the virtual cursor.
  4. With focus on the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Regular crust' radio button.
  5. Using the following commands, With focus on the 'Thin crust' radio button, navigate to the 'Regular crust' radio button.
    • Down Arrow (PC cursor active)
    • Right Arrow (PC cursor active)

Success Criteria

To pass this test, JAWS needs to meet all the following assertions when each specified command is executed:

  1. Role 'radio button' is conveyed
  2. Name 'Regular crust' is conveyed
  3. State 'checked' is conveyed
  4. Position of the radio button, 1, is conveyed
  5. Number of radio buttons in the group, 3, is conveyed
